About the Day
On Sunday, June 8, 2008 thousands of Canadians joined together to celebrate the 5th Annual Wal-Mart Walk For Miracles. At each of our 12 walk locations and at Wal-Mart stores across Canada, participants enjoyed a fun, festive day while supporting an important cause. 100% of the proceeds from the Walk support Children's Miracle Network which helps children's hospitals nationwide provide much-needed care and support for more than 2.6 million children each year.

We will announce the final results from this year's walk soon but the early returns are tremendously encouraging. More than $1 million has already been collected from participating walkers, and combined with other walk-related activities we hope to raise more than $4 million this year. You can check out our fundraising results to see how much we have raised already, and to see if you or someone you know is one of our top fundraisers or top teams.

Check out some pictures from this year's walk. You can pre-register to join us at next year's walk by clicking the button to the left.

You Can Still Help
It's not too late to make a donation to support Canada's children's hospitals or sponsor a walker or team from this year's walk. Walkers, you can also still sign-in to your account and collect any last-minute donations or send thank you emails to your sponsors. Every dollar raised helps kids in your community live happier, healthier lives.

Thanks again for your tremendous support. We hope you'll come back and visit often and join us for the 6th Annual Wal-Mart Walk For Miracles on Sunday, June 14 2009.

Lacey's Story
Lacey's picture For the family of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland the 2006 holidays felt more like a cold and flu season than one of celebration and joy. Sixteen-year-old Lacey had been sick for a couple of weeks, but the worst hit on January 7, 2007. Her mother, Elaine, heard her call from her bedroom that morning. By the time Elaine entered, Lacey was hallucinating and soon became unresponsive.
